"The aim of the ""Europe in Tomášov"" project at our school is to extend the current scope of teaching about the EU and European values, realities and benefits through innovative and modern methodologies that will make teaching these topics more attractive to pupils. This project will use innovative methods, digital tools and activation approaches to ensure interactive and engaging teaching. Digital technologies and online resources will provide access to up-to-date information anda variety of multimedia content, while activation methods such as project-based learning and teamwork will encourage active participation and pupil involvement in the learning process. We plan to run 2 project days during a school year. The 1st project day will take place in the autumn onthe ocasion of the European Day of Languages. This day will aim to raise awareness of Europe's cultural and linguistic diversity, values and the history of the EU. Pupils will have the opportunity to take part in activities that will contribute to their understanding of Europe's history and different cultures. The 2nd project day will be Europe Day in May. This day will be a celebration of European identity and unity. Topics will include EU culture, EU institutions, citizens' rights, disinformation and environment. Lessons will be activity-based and adventurous. The aim is to reinforce pupils' awareness of European values and the benefits of the EU. In addition, we plan to organise excursions to places that are thematically relevant to our project and will be complemented by practical activities to supportunderstanding and application of the knowledge acquired. We believe that our project will provide our pupils with an interesting learning experience that will contribute to their pers. development. We want to encourage active and critical thinking as well as openness to other culture,values. We are convinced that these skills and knowledge are essential for the next generation to become engaged EU citizens."
