The Eurydice Network has a central role in supporting evidence-based European cooperation in education. Its mission is to provide analyses and supporting information to assist the decision-making process at European level. The network contributes to a better mutual understanding of the European education systems through the production of country specific information, comparable country descriptions, indicators and comparative studies in the field of education and training. In the context of this framework, the National Unit ITALY aims to proactively contribute to the identification of individual activities to ensure their relevance also for national policy-making, in particular for the definition of topics and scopes of studies. It also provides the Eurydice central Unit in the Executive Agency with information and data on the Italian education system within the deadlines for studies and reports and for the implementation of the National Description of the education system. The information is essentially of a normative and qualitative nature, relating to official documents, such as laws, decrees, regulations and guidelines. Finally, it promotes the Eurydice products at national level, by formulating a communication strategy and implementing plan.
