Eurydice's Network central role is to support evidence-based European cooperation in education, with the mission of providing European-level analyses and supporting information to assist the decision-making process. The network's goal is to contribute towards a better mutual understanding of education systems in Europe through the production of country specific information, comparable country descriptions, indicators and comparative studies in the field of education and training. In the context of this framework, the National Unit ROMANIA (NU RO) aims to: (a) Pro-actively contribute to scoping individual activities to ensure their relevance also for national policy making. (b) Provide the central Eurydice Unit in the Executive Agency with information and data on their education systems. The information is essentially normative and qualitative based, relating to official documents, such as laws, decrees, regulations and recommendations. (c) Promote Eurydice products at national level, by formulating a communication strategy and implementing plan. Some quantitative data: (1) duration of the project 24 months; (2) 1 person full time, involved in all the activities of NU RO; (3) about 22 external experts on various field of education, involved during in activities referring at new Eurydice reports; (4) about 8 external experts on various field of education, involved on updating the national description of education system; (5) supporting EACEA-A6 team on the preparation of 23 new Eurydice reports, during all the activities related to product these reports; (6) 7 Eurydice reports translated into Romanian language, by 3 translators; (7) participation at 3 working meeting arranged by the EACEA-A6; (8) 4 time updating the chapter 14; (9) at least 20 articles updated on national description of education system; (10) promotion of Eurydice website, network and publications at national and local level via various channel.
