The goal of Eurydice's network is to contribute towards a better mutual understanding of education systems in Europe through the production of country-specific information, comparable country descriptions, indicators, and comparative studies in the field of education and training and in the context of this framework, National Unit Croatia aims to: • proactively contribute to scoping individual activities to ensure their relevance for national policy making. • provide the central Eurydice Unit in the Executive Agency with information and data on the Croatian education system. The information is essentially normative and qualitative-based, relating to official documents, such as laws, decrees, regulations, and recommendations. • promote Eurydice products at the national level, by formulating a communication strategy and an implementation plan. The role of the Croatian National Unit is to inform and carry out analyzes of the Croatian education system and policy by participating in evidence-based comparative analyses, enabling the comparison above of national education systems to improve them. As also mentioned above, the National Unit is mandatory to support EACEA.A6 in the implementation of the activities prescribed by this work program, which provides an insight into the work plan of activities whose purpose is primarily related to the method for creating publications and collecting national data, then checking and disseminating the results, etc. For the translation into the Croatian language, we chose topics from the publications such as Education for environmental sustainability, Key data on Early Childhood Education and Care, and Promoting diversity and inclusion in schools in Europe because of their importance for educational policies at the national level in Croatia, but also regarding the priorities of the Erasmus+ programme.
