Description | The Asian terminal, Inc. won the 25-concession contract to build and operate a modern domestic passenger terminal on Pier 15 at the South Harbor, Manila. The company has announced that it will invest US$ 30.1 million (P 1.6 billion) in the project during the concession period, including the construction cost. The construction of the terminal was initiated in June of 2002 and was concluded in January of 2003. The Terminal was named Eva Macapagal Super Terminal (EMST) in memory of the mother of the president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. EMST has 2,878 square meters and is expected to serve two-three million passengers annually. |
