Eli Lilly supplies discounted active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and technology transfer to help Eva Pharma formulate, fill, and finish insulin locally. The partnership aims to reach at least one million people annually by 2030 across 56 low- to middle-income countries, mainly in Africa. The model was extended in 2024 to license manufacturing of baricitinib for 49 African countries, with supply expected from 2026. |
