Information ReNew Transmission Ventures Pvt. Ltd. has come up with Evacuation of power from RE sources in Koppal Wind Energy Zone [Karnataka] [2500MW] [SPV - Koppal-Narendra Transmission Limited] with a ticket size of 700 INR Crores. This project in Electricity Transmission sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Work Start - Appointed Date and is being developed through the PPP route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project The 2.5 GW wind potential identified in Koppal area of Karnataka has been prioritized under Phase-I [Part-II] for implementation. The Koppal transmission scheme involves establishment of Koppal Pooling Station and its interconnection with ISTS grid for evacuation of wind potential from Koppal area of Karnataka. Koppal - Narendra Transmission Limited is the SPV created for development of above transmission system. The BPC [PFC Consulting Limited] had invited Bids for selection of Transmission Service Provider to establish the above Transmission System on build, own, operate and maintain basis, and to provide transmission service on a long term basis to the Long Term Transmission Customers. Subsequent to bidding process, M/s ReNew Transmission Ventures Private Limited has selected a successful bidder and project SPV i.e Koppal-Narendra Transmission Limited has been acquired on 13.12.2021.
