Description | Traditions are the foundation and the framework upon which a culture is built. A culture with no traditions is no culture at all. In order for the future generations of Sopje and Dravasztara to preserve the tradition,customs and culture of this region,it is necessary to cultivate the tradition.This project serves the exchange of cultural traditions and increases the common history and identification of the people in Hungary and Croatia. With the aim of preserving the tradition and enhancing the border area,cultural manifestations are organized on both sides of the Drava River. This project is a kind of continuation of project˝Drava events˝financed through HU-CRO IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2007-2013(HUHR/1001),in which Municipality of Sopje was a Lead beneficiary and Local Government of Dravasztara was a Beneficiary. Following the long-term cooperation, cross-border partners have decided to raise the abovementioned events to a higher level, organize events throughout the year and upgrade the already existing thematic route (Orahovica-Slatina-Sopje-Dravastzara-Pecs). Project will clearly contribute to Priority 2-Sustainable Use of Natural and Cultural assets–Preserving and Protecting the Environment and Promoting Resource Efficiency,Specific Objective 2.1–Convert the Region’s Natural and Cultural Heritage to Tourism Attractions with Income Generating Capabilities, Component 3-Thematic routes and other tourism product (Interreg V-a Hungary-Croatia Co-operation Programme 2014-2020).The overall objective of the project is preservation and promotion of cultural and traditional heritage through the organization of events throughout the year,upgrading the already existing tourist route,developing image of an attractive,authentic and unique cultural destinations on both sides of Drava River and to generate more intense appearance of visitors in the region and contributing to development of tourism attractions with income generating capabilities. The LB of the project is Municipality Sopje and the Hungarian partner is Local Government of Dravasztara. Duration of the project is 24 months(1/10/2019-31/09/2021). Activities: 4 joint cross-border events: 1. Spring cross-border events: ˝Drava spring˝,˝Bošporijada˝,Festival ˝Majban˝ of Drava river; 2. Summer cross-border events: ˝Ivanje˝,˝Fishing days on Drava river˝,Cross-border football tournament; 3. Autumn cross-border events: Manifestation¨Mioljska potkova¨, Manifestation¨Zagorje autumn¨, Traditional gathering of the locals from Mun. Dravasztara and Sopje, ˝Equestrian cup˝; 4. Winter cross-border event: ˝Traditional advents customs in Sopje˝; - constructed 1 stage for manifestations and arranging space for visitors, - reconstruction of 1 culture home in Dravastzara for the purpose of holding all manifestations - Organization of 1 opening and 1 closing conference,procurement of promotional materials Target groups which are directly benefiting from this project are 29 organizations participating in organized events on both sides(LB: 8 local associations, 2 cultural art societies, 6 fishing societies, 4 choirs, B1:4 cultural art societies, 1 women choir, 4 local associations)and 2 Beneficiary organizations and their employees in the cross-border area that will strengthen their human and material capacities through the organization events. Implementation of the project will enhance cooperation and contacts between people from Croatia and Hungary, it will encourage creativity, and provide a driving force for cultural development relating to the importance of cultural heritage, traditions of the area and tourism and bring benefit from new developments and investments. The project will support the improvement of the quality of tourism offer, development of regional sustainable tourism product, promote cultural exchange and exchange in the arts reinforced through cooperation thus making significant contribution to development of Sopje and Dravastzara as attractive tour.destinat |
