Description | The EAA Reservoir project is part of the Central Everglades Planning Project aimed at improving water quantity, quality, timing, and distribution to the central Everglades and Everglades National Park. It involves constructing a 240,000 acre-foot reservoir and a 6,500 acre-foot stormwater treatment area to address nutrient-laden water releases causing toxic algae outbreaks. The reservoir will store over 78 billion gallons of water and deliver up to 470 billion gallons of clean water annually to the Everglades and Florida Bay. |
