Description

Description

"The ""Evropa nás zajímá"" (""We are interested in Europe"") project, by Střední průmyslová škola strojnická Olomouc, is designed to enhance students' awareness and understanding of the European Union by integrating EU-related topics into the curriculum. The project expands teaching in civic education, law, economics, cybersecurity, and English, ensuring that students acquire a comprehensive understanding of the EU’s role in their lives, its institutions, values, and policies. The project addresses a key gap in the current curriculum, where technical subjects dominate, leaving limited space for broader socio-political and economic education. By incorporating interactive teaching methods, such as CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) in English lessons, digital tools, e-learning materials, and workshops, the project aims to foster critical thinking, media literacy, and interdisciplinary learning. It aligns with the Erasmus+ priorities, emphasizing inclusion, digital transformation, environmental sustainability, and democratic engagement, ensuring that students gain relevant skills for both their academic and professional futures. A multidisciplinary team of teachers will lead the project, supported by structured project management, quality assurance, and evaluation strategies. The initiative will incorporate knowledge assessments, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to measure its impact and ensure continuous improvement. Long-term, the project aims to make EU topics an integral and permanent part of the school's educational approach, strengthening students' European identity and fostering their active participation in society."
