Description
Description | The project focuses on integrating EU-related topics into the curriculum across various subjects, spe-cifically English, German, history, economics, and social science. The goal is to create a multidisci-plinary and systematic approach that makes learning about the EU both attractive and interactive, while connecting students' theoretical knowledge with practical experiences. This approach will ensu-re a comprehensive understanding of the functioning of the EU and its institutions, helping students better grasp the EU's influence on everyday life, including opportunities for studying, working, and traveling within the EU. The project includes activities such as excursions to EU institutions in Brussels, workshops, and lectu-res with experts, as well as lessons on the EU in the aforementioned subjects. The project will also incorporate virtual tours and both frontal and project-based teaching using digital technologies. We expect that approximately 270 students, along with 9 teachers involved in creating the educational materials, will benefit from this project. The expected outcomes include an increased understanding of the EU from historical, political, eco-nomic, and linguistic perspectives, the development of critical thinking, and increased interest in Eu-ropean topics among students. As part of the project, electronic and printed educational materials will be created to support the integration of EU topics into the curriculum across subjects. These materials will focus on vocabulary, individual EU institutions, member states, historical development, and insti-tutional structure, as well as key economic principles and political processes. They will be linked to extracurricular activities such as excursions to EU institutions, workshops, and lectures, ensuring an effective and interactive approach to teaching about the EU and contributing to a deeper understan-ding of EU-related topics among students. |
