Description | The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has selected a multi-use case implementation project featuring SkyDrive and Joby Aviation aircraft for the eVTOL Implementation Project (Phase I). The project aims to implement eVTOL aircraft across multiple use cases by leveraging the unique features of SkyDrive and Joby aircraft. It includes feasibility studies for potential vertiport locations, development of these sites, enhancing social acceptance through exhibitions and public events, and selecting final vertiport locations from Fiscal Year 2028 onward, targeting commercialization in urban areas. Demonstration flights are planned within Fiscal Year 2026, followed by pre-commercial service implementation within Fiscal Year 2027. |
