"We plan to organise two EWoS events in two mutually distanced locations in Slovakia. To keep the tradition of the past years, we will organise #BeActive Night event in Bratislava. The second event, unlike in the previous years, will take place in the Štrbské pleso , the eastern part of Slovakia, which is the region of the High Tatras mountains. Given the unstable weather situation in the mountain area and persisting and/or unpredictable pandemic restriction we have decided to hold the event in Štrbské pleso on 4.9. 2021, to be followed by the #BeActive Night in Bratislava on 25.9.2021. The main objective for both events will be to promote exercise, sport and a healthy lifestyle to the general public at all levels of our society. The events aim to encourage people to participate in sport and physical activities more actively. Both events will be organised using the sport-village set-up in cooperation with the local municipality. We will invite the relevant local partners in both places along with the national partners to take part in the events. Our aim is to create a platform for them to present their respective sports. This may bring in some diversity in terms of the sport activities to be promoted. Both events will offer a number of various outdoor sport activities. We will select disciplines such that they require minimum skills on the part of the participants in terms of their previous experience, age or physical abilities. Activities will take place in a public area with good public accessibility and visibility with the entry free of charge. The visitors may come along with their friends or family and take part in sport competitions and sport activities or accompanying programme of the events. The events will be supported by high level representatives of the Ministry of Education, Slovak Olympic Committee and the local top athletes and national EWoS ambassadors."
