Sponsor BioTherm has secured a ZAR697 million ($51.7m) 17-year A loan. The equity part amounts to ZAR218 million ($16.1m) and represents a debt-to-equity ratio of 76:24. The facility benefits from a 20-year PPA with national Utility Eskom. The project achieved Preferred Bidder status under Round 4 of the REIPPP Programme in South Africa in April 2015 and has been brought to financial close on 24 July 2018 in line with the progress of the REIPPP programme. In November 2019 MIGA issued guarantees for up to $65 million in 2 wind power plants - Golden Valley and Excelsior. IJGlobal |
