Sponsor BioTherm has secured a ZAR697 million ($51.7m) 17-year A loan. The equity part amounts to ZAR218 million ($16.1m) and represents a debt-to-equity ratio of 76:24. The facility benefits from a 20-year PPA with national Utility Eskom. The project achieved Preferred Bidder status under Round 4 of the REIPPP Programme in South Africa in April 2015 and has been brought to financial close on 24 July 2018 in line with the progress of the REIPPP programme.
