The project's main objective is founding and initial operation of EXE Security Operations Centre (EXE-SOC). It is in line with the call (topic) objectives and DEP Specific Objective 3 – Cybersecurity and Trust and its operational objectives b, c and e. The objective is based on policy objectives on European level and analysis of actual needs, and it aims to create, support and strengthen cyber threat detection capacities, allowing for reinforced capacities to monitor and detect cyber threats, as well as create collective knowledge and share the best practices. The solution EXE-SOC will achieve this through the following workpackages: 1. Analysis - focused on definition of clear vision, objectives, scope and integration into organization 2. Design – creating design for all aspects of SOC – business, organisational, process and technical 3. Implementation – taking inputs from design phase and implements it making SOC ready for launch 4. Operation – launching SOC for the first customers to collect feedback and conduct SOC performance review EXE-SOC will operate several services, including: 1. Threat detection and response: A SOC will help detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time, which can help prevent data breaches and other security incidents. 2. Improved visibility into the security posture: A SOC will provide organizations with increased visibility into their security posture by collecting, analyzing, and reporting on security data from a wide range of sources. 3. Effective incident response: A SOC will help organizations respond to security incidents more effectively by providing them with the necessary processes, tools, and personnel to handle incidents quickly and efficiently. 4. Compliance with regulations: A SOC will aid organizations comply with various cybersecurity regulations, such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), by providing them with the necessary processes, tools, and personnel to meet these requirements.
