Description | Qualified through Decree No. 10,338, of 05/05/2020, as recommended by CPPI Resolution No. 86/2019, the Existing Energy Auctions – LEEs A-4 and A-5 aim to recompose the distributors' contracts from the auctions of new energy carried out in 2005, 2006 and 2007, as well as remaining contracts from the Priority Thermoelectricity Program – PPT. Among these, there is a considerable number of contracts in the form of availability of thermoelectric sources with high Unit Variable Costs – CVUs. Initially planned to take place in 2020 and rescheduled for 2021, through MME Ordinance No. 459/2020, in LEEs A-4 and A-5, Regulated Environment Electricity Trading Contracts – CCEARs for generation projects at from a thermoelectric source using national mineral coal or natural gas, as long as they obtain Technical Qualification or Declaration of Suitability for Registration in the Auction with the Energy Research Company – EPE. LEE A-4/2021, carried out on 06/25/2021, via an operational platform made available on the Internet, in partnership with the Electric Energy Trading Chamber – CCEE, ended with an average discount of 52.47% in the price of energy. Intended for the contracting of energy from existing thermoelectric source projects using national mineral coal or natural gas, with supply starting from January 2025, the auction contracted 98.3 average MW and had an average price of R$ 151.15/ MWh.
