The Technical Cooperation's (TC) main objective is to promote innovation, science and new technological development in the area of biofuels and sustainable energy. Furthermore, this TC will finance the preparation of the design of a Research and Innovation Fund for Sustainable Energy and Biofuels (RIFSEB), with the following specific objectives: (i) identify the most important areas of research and innovation in Sustainable Energy and Biofuels, which constitute today, the main bottlenecks for further expansion and investment in the sector; (ii) design and support the RIFSEB, promoting strategic partnerships with universities, industries and financial entities to develop lines of work/research in innovation in Sustainable Energy and Biofuels; (iii) promote technological transfer in the sustainable energy and biofuel area.
