Information National Aluminium Company Limited [NALCO] has come up with Expansion of Alumina Refinery Plant with addition of 5th Stream having capacity enhancement of 1.0 Million Tonee Per Annum with a ticket size of 5677.4 INR Crores. This project in Refinery sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Investment approval was accorded by Board of Directors on 10-Dec-2014 with the stipulation that no major financial commitment or no contractor should be engaged till all clearances for the proposed project are obtained . Engagement of Process Licensor RTAIL on 16-Jan-2017. Grant of Environmental Clearance on 12-Apr-2017. Grant of consent to establish by OSPCB on 21-Apr-2017 Engagement of Alumina Refinery EPCM Consultant M/s tkIS on 07-Jul-2017. Engagement of SPP Consultant M/s M.N.Dastur on 20-Oct-2017. Packing Philosophy approved on 03-Mar-2018. Detailed Engg. activities have been almost completed. The order for all major LSTK packages have been placed for refinery and SPP. Order placed for 107 EPCM items out of 117. HAZOP Study and 60 percent model review for EPCM areas have been completed.
