Expansion of Piped Natural Gas (PNG) Network in Urban India

planned

The project aims to accelerate the expansion of the Piped Natural Gas (PNG) network across urban India to ensure uninterrupted delivery of essential services amid a nationwide LPG crisis. The initiative includes providing 50 lakh new PNG connections, fast-tracking road-cutting permissions, adopting deemed approval mechanisms, and rationalising or temporarily waiving high right-of-way (RoW) charges. The project also focuses on institutionalising single-window approvals, integrating PNG infrastructure into urban planning, facilitating last-mile connectivity, and converging with ongoing urban development initiatives.
