Expansion of the Dewatered Biosolids Winter Storage Building

The Biosolids Centralized Storage Facility is a structural steel/concrete composite building with concrete foundation. The existing winter storage building will be expanded from 12 existing storage bays to 16 bays (4 additional winter storage bays). The existing 10,000 m2 building will see an expansion of 3,500 m2 in building floor area to accommodate winter storage for the anticipated future increase in dewatered biosolids quantities originating from the County wastewater treatment facilities. It has also been determined that fire suppression technologies must be added to the structure due to the response time from the local rural volunteer fire department.
