Description

Description

The garage at the Operations Centre on Saint-Omer Street is at maximum capacity. However, in order to meet the orientation of the Strategic Plan, STLévis must be able, in the short term, to house additional buses in the Saint-Omer Street garage. The additional space would also increase the number of vehicles on reserve for maintenance, as the current reserve rate is very low. The project consists of expanding the garage by moving the back wall (to the east) for another row of eight buses. Steps completed: 1. Preliminary architectural sketch (2015) 2. Minor exemption (city of Lévis) (2015) 3. Technical opinion report (2016) Next steps in 2017-18: 1. Preparation of the architectural drawings and specifications 2. Application for construction permit 3. Subsidy application 4. Construction work With the cost savings achieved through this project, the STL wishes to add additional deliverables to the expansion of the Operation Center garage. It wants to upgrade certain electrical infrastructures and upgrade the fire system in the garage of the Operations Center. Following the expansion of the garage, project experts assessed that there was an increased fire risk as well as the interruption of the power supply due to higher demand as a result of the addition of equipment. They want to improve the electrical infrastructure and ensure that they meet the standards of the fire system
