Expansion project for producing Chocolates and Candy

Royal chocolate and candy factory plc was established in 2003 in Addis Ababa by a domestic investor for the production of candy and confectionery with a total investment cost of 1million USD. The local investor conducted a market assessment which indicated a large demand in the product category. Based on the current demand for chocolate and candy, the company wants to double its production capacity. The purpose of the proposed project is to expand the production capacity to meet the large local market demand and to penetrate regional export markets of eastern and southern African countries. The local investor is looking for a foreign partner who can contribute through equity infusion as a minority stake- holder and bring much required foreign exchange to the project.
