Description

Description

First, data should be collected on outcomes and other dimensions related on how computers are used , preferably in more than one country to make results robust and applicable to different environments and implementing capacity. Second, this evaluation is an opportunity to experiment particular models of intervention that may produce higher benefits. Hence, the experimentation of a number of activities to check whether impacts are larger under particular uses of the technology (for example, the use of interactive software, or different teacher training). During 2011, several pilots will be launched and the most promising ones will be scaled-up. Finally, data should be collected for the most effective models of implementation to be able to provide policy advice to governments in the region and around the world, not only on what are the average impacts of the interventions, but also on the specific actions that can be taken to maximize the potential benefits.
