Description

Description

CYCLO EDUCATE aims to seamlessly integrate cycling into school curricula and extracurricular activities, fostering a culture of active living, physical literacy, and environmental responsibility. To achieve this, the program begins by training instructors—such as physical education teachers, school staff, and volunteers—who will then guide and support students in developing cycling skills. A structured and progressive course (beginner-intermediate-advanced) will be developed for both road and off-road cycling, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience. By equipping instructors with the necessary knowledge and skills first, our project ensures that students receive quality instruction and long-term support in adopting cycling as a regular activity. Beyond skill development, the project also seeks to integrate cycling into broader educational and community initiatives. The initiative also capitalizes on the growing market for alternative sports, addressing the increasing demand for dynamic, sustainable, and inclusive physical activities. With a focus on building capacity among coaches, athletes, and stakeholders, the project promotes innovation, environmental consciousness, and economic opportunities in the cycling sector. By combining educational tools, expertise development, and community engagement, the project ensures long-term impact, aligning with EU priorities for active mobility, diversity and inclusion, and lifelong physical activity. Our project involved four partners from three EU countries to produce and test the project outputs. The project will run for 30 months and is divided into five work packages, producing a total of 11 deliverables. Our target group are cycling instructors in the first phase and children and young people in the second phase. In total, we seek to involve over 250 direct participants in the three participating countries.
