Description | Rapibus is a rapid bus system consisting of a single two-directional lane reserved for buses built on the right-of-way of an existing rail corridor. The existing corridor is 12 km in length and connects Labrosse Boulevard to Alexandre-Taché Boulevard. The Labrosse/Lorrain section represents another 2.8 km of busway to be built as part of this project. The phase of this project which will be financed by the PTIF only represents a part of the construction planned for this project. This phase is comprised of the following deliverables: - Construction of the Lorrain station - Construction of the Lorrain station signaled parking lot - Partial dismantling of the railway - Compacting and consolidation of peatland - Work to divert rail transportation |
