The project covers two main tasks: to gather information and fill tables about environmental subsidies and transfers and tax abatements in Latvia in 2017-2022 and investigate the situation in Latvia, prepare a list of potentially damaging subsidies, focusing on fossil fuel subsidies. Make first assessments on fossil subsidies and to fill questionnaire about years 2020-2022. As a result, there will be prolonged existing timeseries about environmental subsidies and similar transfers, also methods to annually produce statistics on environmental subsidies and similar transfers will be renewed. Secondly for first time potentially damaging environmental subsidies will be mapped and first average effective carbon rates calculated.
