EYE on Europe 2021 is proposed by 9 international centres supporting entrepreneurship “to enhance entrepreneurship, develop international outlook & competitiveness of EU SMEs & foster start-ups & newly-established micro and small enterprises.” The EP will match 62 NEs and 63 HEs p.a. (increasing numbers in the years to follow) by recruiting the most suitable entrepreneurs. The EP draws from previous experiences (EYE on Europe I – III) & will pay special attention to target-group focused promotion, efficient assessment of qualified entrepreneurs, highly individualized matching aid including the creation of outcome based & measurable commitments to create a win-win situation for NEs and HEs, regular support throughout the exchange supported by irregular check-ups to detect fraud. The EP pays special attention to high-tech & early stage entrepreneurs since it believes that these draw the greatest benefit from EYE. The EP will measure its activities’ impact by sending out scheduled surveys to NEs and HEs. 4 partners (DE, IT, PL, LT) from EP EYE on Europe III are collaborating on the FPA proposal with strategically chosen new members from ES, PT, GR, DK & NL. The EP paid special attention to frequently requested exchange countries from its current young entrepreneurs to increase intra-consortium matches. All organizations play leading roles in their countries’ university-industry entrepreneurship eco-systems & support innovative business creation focused on high-tech and research-intensive business sectors, such as MedTech, CleanTech, ICT & Life Sciences. Each centre forges links between established and newly emerging business in their region, thereby fostering innovation in the local economy. This builds the perfect ecosystem to recruit EYE entrepreneurs. To ensure sustainability, this EP will support NEs and HEs with after-care services such as information on available accelerator programs, EU-grants or financing opportunities & open its EP’s networks to them.
