F-16 Block 70 Industrial Co-operation Programme Amendment

planned

The Bulgarian government authorised two ministries to negotiate and sign an amendment with Lockheed Martin on the F-16 Block 70 industrial co-operation programme. The amendment involves renegotiating one of the six projects under the framework agreement to better meet the needs of Bulgaria's Defence Ministry and enhance the country's defence sector capabilities. The new project aims to build on existing industrial capacity for maintenance of F-16 Block 70 components in Bulgaria, enabling independent logistical maintenance and operation over a 30-year lifecycle, with technology transfer to increase competitiveness and international market potential.
