The project has two main objectives: 1) To facilitate the consumers' access to the alternative dispute resolution body in Estonia (the Consumer Disputes Committee), by raising consumers’ awareness and trust in the existing ADR body. We are aiming to bring knowledge of the out of court settlement in civil consumer disputes and its benefits to a wider group of consumers (by using different distribution channels) 2) To increase the capacity of the Consumer Disputes Committee, by educating and training the members of the Committee. Considering the ongoing review of the current ADR Directive, as well the amendment of the national law, the project also includes the exchange of experiences with other ADR bodies in EU Member States. Project will contribute to the networking of alternative dispute resolution entities at EU-wide level The Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee is an independent and impartial entity resolving consumer disputes. The Committee is a notified ADR body. The committee operates at the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (the applicant organisation) within the area of government of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and resolves disputes independently pursuant to Acts and other legislation.
