The Lending for African Farming Company (LAFCo) is a working capital facility that offers financing to small and medium-sized enterprises in the agricultural sector in Africa. The aim is to improve the integration of small farmers into agricultural value chains in order to increase their productivity and income. The facility is also intended to strengthen food security in sub-Saharan Africa and combat the causes of migration. The funds from the facility are passed on to companies as loans, so that at the end of the fund's term the funds are returned to the federal budget.
