This is an enhancement project in Fulton County, city of Atlanta. Streetscape improvements within the Farlie Poplar historic district along: 1) Walton Street: between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Cone Street; 2) Nassau Street: between Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Spring Street; 3) Spring Street: between Marietta Street and Luckie Street. The project will implement pedestrian safety improvements such as ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps; high visibility crosswalk markings at all crosswalks; performing electrical work to repair and upgrade pedestrian signals; and performing drainage work to eliminate surface ponding and clogged inlets. Streetscape improvements include replacing and repairing existing concrete sidewalk surfaces; adding brick edging; greening the streets by installing landscaping such as hanging flower baskets, raised planters and street trees; repairing existing and adding new decorative pedestrian and street lighting; and providing new street furniture.
