December’s mini-slate consists of three very different projects – two features and a TV drama series, which we wish to realise as international co-productions. The objective of December's mini-slate development is to increase our capacity to produce innovative content of high quality that has a strong potential to reach international audiences. That will help and allow us, December, to scale up and to solidify our position on the international market as well. Our aim is to provide the best possible frame for the development of the projects as well as our own company. Fantasy is a debut feature by Katarina Rešek, a young and incisive filmmaker whose short film Sisters won this year’s Clermont-Ferrand. Fantasy is a story about three best friends, contemporary sworn virgins, who, after meeting a trans girl in transition, again or for the first time discover their womanhood. Confirmation is the second film by Darko Sinko, who is writing the script with Andreea Valean from Romania and will direct the film himself. Darko’s debut fiction feature Inventory will premiere this September in the competition program of the festival in San Sebastian. Confirmation is a bitter-sweet comedy about growing up, betrayal and disappointments in friendship and the divide between adolescent ideals and hard trials that the three young heroes undergo in their transition to adulthood. Bunker is our first TV series, which we are developing with three screenwriters: the established Croatian screenwriter and playwright Ivica Djikić, the Slovenian internationally acclaimed writer, director and screenwriter Goran Vojnović and the established director and screenwriter Marko Šantić. Vojnović and Šantić will co-direct the series. Bunker is a suspenseful story about betrayal and attempted vengeance against the social establishment that has remained practically unchanged since the protagonist’s life was turned upside down against her will.
