Description | This project consists of the refurbishment of fareboxes and associated components on buses of the Mississauga Transit fleet. The scope of the project includes refurbishing the farebox system and associated components that are reaching the end of their useful life in 530 buses. The project also includes the purchase of seven (7) new wash-bay/mobile probe devices and related hardware/software. This will extend the life expectancy of the fareboxes from 20 to as much as 30 years. The project will result in improved quality and safety of, and access to, the transit system in Mississauga, Ontario. |
