 The proposed investment consists of an USD 20 million C-loan with an equity conversion option, to Grupo Farmanova Intermed (“GFI” or the “Company”), a group of multi-format companies dedicated to the development, marketing and distribution of health products. The proceeds will finance GFI’s strategic plan for 2024-2025 which includes: (i) new centralized, semi-automated logistics center, (ii) acquisition of new licenses, (iii) working capital, and (iv) reprofiling of existing debt (together, the “Project”).Founded in 1983 by Dr. Rodrigo Salas, GFI is a private, 100% Costa Rican family-owned group engaged in the pharma distribution, commercialization, and retail segments both for human and animal health. It is headquartered in Costa Rica with operations in Dominica Republic, Guatemala, Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. The headquarters and distribution center are in the San José -Verbena Logistics Park (“Verbena Park”) in Costa Rica, were GFI is renting 13,722 m². The company also has a total of 68 retail points in the country (63 pharmacies and 5 pet shops).
