Farrington Highway Pole Replacement Project

Hawaiian Electric will undertake a three-year pole hardening project to replace aging wooden utility poles in West Oahu, mainly along Farrington Highway. The project involves replacing wooden poles with stronger materials such as fiberglass and steel, upgrading structural components to withstand hurricane-force winds and rough terrain, installing covered conductors in some areas, and modernizing hardware to reduce fire risks.
