Description | The California Energy Commission (CEC) has launched the Fast Charge California Project, an incentive programme to encourage businesses to install publicly available DC fast EV chargers. The project funds up to 100% of installation costs for fast chargers at publicly accessible sites, prioritizing tribal areas, disadvantaged communities, and lower-income communities. Eligible locations include gas stations, retail centres, parking lots, and other high-traffic locations. The programme offers funding caps of US$55,000 per port for chargers between 150 and 274.99kW and US$100,000 per port for chargers over 275kW. Applications remain open until October 2025. |
