Feasibility Study for Traffic Congestion Easing on Sangam Vihar–Maa Anandmayee Marg and Pul Prahladpur–Badarpur Stretches

The Public Works Department (PWD) has sanctioned Rs 1.5 crore to appoint a Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) consultant to conduct a feasibility study and prepare a detailed project report (DPR) aimed at easing traffic congestion on two busy south Delhi stretches: Sangam Vihar to Maa Anandmayee Marg and Pul Prahladpur to Badarpur. The study will assess traffic flow, ground conditions, and structural constraints, including traffic assessments, topographical mapping, and soil testing. It will explore solutions such as road widening, flyovers or underpasses, improved drainage to prevent waterlogging, and safer pedestrian infrastructure. The DPR will provide engineering designs, cost estimates, and timelines, and the project is planned alongside a Delhi Metro corridor to integrate road and metro infrastructure.
