Description | The Fenix Gold Project is a massive oxide-hosted, heap leach gold mining project located in the Maricunga belt in Chile's Atacama region. The project involves construction of a heap leach operation with associated infrastructure including leach pads, haul roads, an adsorption, desorption and recovery plant, and other facilities. It is designed as a run-of-mine heap leach operation to minimize environmental impact by eliminating crushing or tailings facilities. The project hosts a non-JORC measured and indicated resource of 4.8 million ounces of gold and aims to produce gold for 17 years. |
