Description | Fermi America is developing an 11GW private next-generation energy campus in the Texas Panhandle. The project includes a 10-year tax abatement and reinvestment zone approved by Carson County, a 20-year water supply agreement with the City of Amarillo to provide up to 2.5 million gallons per day at twice the rate paid by Amarillo taxpayers, and company-funded infrastructure. There is also a non-binding memorandum of understanding to potentially scale water supply up to 10 MGD in future phases. The project aims to diversify the regional economy and create high-paying jobs, in collaboration with the Texas Tech University System. |
