Description | Fern’s SGA 2022 proposal contains a total of six work packages, spanning organisational development work; climate adaptation and mitigation; bioenergy – the clean energy transition; sustainable consumption; sustainable trade and Illegal logging – sustainable timber. Across these work packages, our team of 19 staff will work to influence roughly twenty EU policies that are either being discussed by the European Parliament and Council, or that are still in the proposal stage with the European Commission, or that are in the implementation phase. Each of these are key to the LIFE priorities, particularly the Nature, Biodiversity, Circular Economy and Quality of Life, Clean Energy Transition and Climate Mitigation and Adaptation priorities. Activities focus on policy advice and advocacy, facilitating access of NGOs across Europe and beyond to EU policy making processes as well as research, media and communications. |
