The well is projected to reach a bottomhole temperature of 520 °F, making it the hottest and deepest well by Fervo. The project leverages advancements in horizontal drilling and fiber-optic sensing to improve thermal energy recovery efficiency to about 50-60%. This supports the Cape Station project, aiming to deliver 100 MW by 2026 and 400 MW by 2028, with contracts in place with Shell Energy and Southern California Edison. |
