A key project is to close the eight-mile gap along the LA River bike path from Elysian Valley through Downtown Los Angeles, which currently forces cyclists onto dangerous surface streets. There is $365 million earmarked funding for this connection, but the project is caught in bureaucratic stalemate. The Festival Trail aims to deliver a seamless 51-mile protected bike path from the San Fernando Valley to Long Beach, leveraging the momentum of the 2028 Games. |
