Description
Description | Audience engagement is at the core of Festivallinks 2.0, which connects four small and independent classical music festivals – Classical Beat(DE), Silence(FI), Sansusī(LV) and Bach Festival Dordrecht(NL) – together with cultural agency LUSTR(NL). Located on the periphery of their respective national cultural centres, these festivals enjoy large doses of creativity, enthusiasm and innovation while also being strongly embedded in their local eco-systems, thereby contributing strongly to both local and regional development and access to cultural diversity. The project aims to: a) enhance the capacities of the small and, necessarily, multitasking teams in pressing issues like sustainability and diversity/accessibility, understood throughout the creative processes and the production of events; b) promote artistic collaboration and stimulate joint creative processes and decision-making combining own-identities and community rooted initiatives with European common and shared values; and c) accelerate the shift towards more audience-centric organisations upgrading the methodology for audience research and engagement. The main activities include: -two capacity-building meet-ups with expert workshops and peer-to-peer knowledge exchange -four new compositions, one in each partner country -16 live/online performances of new compositions -one consolidated online performance featuring performances from all festivals -the development of one modular, user-friendly questionnaire and tool that facilitates audience data collection and its analysis as the basis for building up audience-centric audience development strategies, specially tailored for small and independent festivals (ARTSCORE) Over the course of two years, the project expects to directly benefit about 20 professionals, 40 artists and musicians and a live and online audience of approximately as well as 12 small and independent festivals. |
