Description
Description | A lawsuit has been filed against the City of Festus and developer CRG seeking to invalidate the city's rezoning of seven parcels for industrial use and to restore them to their prior non-urban or residential zoning classifications. The lawsuit also seeks to invalidate the infrastructure, development, and funding agreement approved by the city council. The project involves the development of a hyperscale data center on hundreds of acres in Festus, which has raised concerns among residents about environmental impact and property values. Festus leaders have promoted the project as a significant investment that would generate over a billion dollars in revenue for the city over 25 years. |
