Description | This project involves the construction of two solar power plants co-located to existing wind farms in Turkiye, in the cities of Isparta and Balikesir. The development includes a 55 MW solar power plant in Isparta and a 20 MW solar power plant in Balikesir. These facilities are designed to support Türkiye’s climate goals by integrating renewable energy into the national grid, with an expected annual reduction of approximately 37,000 tonnes of carbon emissions. The sponsor for this initiative is Kavram Enerji, a subsidiary of Fiba Yenilenebilir Enerji Holding (Fiba Renewables). The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provides a $42 million (€39.7 million) loan to finance the development and construction of these solar power plants.
