The project involves the expansion of the existing municipal fiber optic network to more locations within the city of Indio in California, USA.The City of Indio acknowledges the vital importance of high-speed internet access for residents, businesses, healthcare providers, schools, and non-profit organizations. The city is dedicated to improving broadband affordability, reliability, and accessibility across all areas. These efforts aim to enhance broadband access, foster economic development, improve quality of life, and encourage government innovation. The scope of work is divided into phases which include:Phase 1 – Backbone Fiber Installation: Installation of 154,000 ft of 144-strand fiber in existing conduit.Phase 2 – Core City Facilities and Unserved Area Laterals: Construction of 30,000 ft of new underground infrastructure, including  2" conduits located 36" below the surface. 1 conduit will have a single 144-strand fiber optic cable installed (Unserved area backbone). Construction of 10,000 ft of new underground infrastructure, including a single 2" conduit located 36" below the surface. A 24-strand fiber optic cable will be installed (City facilities).Phase 3 – Additional City Facilities and Local Agency Sites: Construction of 5,000 ft of new infrastructure, both aerial and underground, for the installation of a 24-strand fiber optic cable.
