Film Distribution 2025 Production and distribution company based in Rome, Europictures starts theatrical distribution in 2013 focusing on the release of European arthouse cinema and local Italian feature films. The company has distinguished itself by acquiring prestigious titles and festival hits including Payal Kapadia’s Cannes Grand Prix winner ALL WE IMAGINE AS LIGHT, the Golden Lion for Best Film HAPPENING by Audrey Diwan, the critically acclaimed PARIS, 13TH DISTRICT by Jacques Audiard. In 2021 Europictures became a partner of “Circuito Cinema”, the prestigious chain of independent arthouse cinemas with a total reach of over 120 screens mainly concentrated in the bigger cities. The catalogue also includes French feature films like Venice Golden Lion contender THE OTHER PEOPLE’CHILDREN by Rebecca Zlotowski, BERNADETTE by Léa Domenach starring Catherine Deneuve and the most recent BELLE by Benoît Jacquot released on March 13, 2025 and which had an excellent result in theaters reaching more than 400.000€ - 61.000 admissions. The company aims to enrich its line up and to strengthen its position in the arthouse market by acquiring arthouse film with cross over potentials. Europictures has three titles in the official selection at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. The plan is to invest the fund in the acquisition of 1 film at the upcoming major markets and festival like Cannes, Venice and Berlin and to invest at least 25% of the fund in Advertising, Promotion and Digital Cost for release expenses: costs include marketing materials (poster, trailer, clips); social media marketing materials and investments; acquisitions of publicity spaces (mainly web and trailers in cinemas); promotional costs; digital costs for dubbing and subtitling, DCP film an trailer.
