"RISI-MEDIA-AUTO-24 is the 2024 distribution project of RISI FILM, a distribution and audiovisual services company founded in 2019 and based in Lisbon. Its goal is to disseminate film culture and promote relations between Italy and Portuguese-speaking countries. Its activities are carried out mainly in Portugal but also and Brazil and incidentally in Angola and Mozambique. Its main activity is film distribution. Born from more than ten years of experience of Il Sorpasso, a non-profit entity active in Portugal since 2008 mainly in the organization of the festival dedicated to Italian cinema ""Festa do cinema italiano"", an event with which it maintains a close collaboration. The experience of this entity has allowed to borrow all the know-how as well as contacts and active collaborations so that the activities and projects of RISI FILM were already started from day one. Risi Film, is establishing itself in the independent film distribution industry in Portugal mainly for its work related to the distribution of Italian cinema in the national territory, working in an almost symbiotic collaboration with the biggest Italian film event. In this project we are requesting a support that will be used for the acquisition of rights, masters and all the materials of a new bunch of European films that will form part of RISI FILM's next distribution project. All the material needs to be ordered from international sales companies and from theirs associates laboratories, then to be processed locally so that the films can be placed on the local audiovisual market. This includes a number of tasks such as translation for local versioning, and the production of masters and different types of prints as well as the planning of an appropriate advertising campaign including online and offline marketing and actions. All this kind of works will be carried out by specialized agencies, laboratories and qualified personnel on site."
