Film Europe Reinvestment Project for European Films Distribution in Czech Republic

In the present project we declare certified admissions of European non-national films, eligible within criteria of EACEA/European Film Distribution scheme, that were distributed by Film Europe s. r. o. in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 in Czech Republic. We intend to reinvest the potential fund in the acquisition and subsequent promotion and national distribution of 12 new European films of different genres in compliance with our continuing core strategy that is to offer to local cinema-goers the opportunity to discover finest European films from the latest editions of A-listed international film festivals in Berlin, Venice and Cannes (we frequently identify and acquire winners of the above—mentioned festivals before they get its awards) on the one part, and other European quality film titles that are usually not screened within standard distribution in our country and which we consider to deserve particular attention of the other part. Our key objective remains the same since the beginning of its operation on the Czech film market: to engage the audience in the richness of the European cinematography and provide it with an above-standard information background for selected film titles by means of thematic showcases, lectures, chats with the talents, round tables and, last but not least, by applying the principle of multi-platform distribution through CINEMA, TV, VOD and DVD. The overall project will build mainly on our good relations with most important European film sale agents, as well as on good practice with the strategies that have been developed by our company for 12 years, and also stable partnerships with wide range of partners (cinemas, media, festivals, suppliers etc.).
